A+C Wedding

644 Blooms. 72 feet Eucalyptus garland. 4 sets of hands. 31 hours. That is what went into creating magic for Angela + Corey's vineyard wedding.

Local. Dahlias, our summer time favorites. Every Tuesday our shop is filled with a local delivery from one of our favorite flower farmers. Katrina, my flower soul sister, is the magician behind these magical dahlias. I love the color of these. That deep jewel tone was exactly what we were looking for. Patience and I took a little filed trip to get these. We got lost, ended up on a dirt road with no cell phone service, and ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A. I think that's what you call a successful day.

^ Most of my favorite treasures come from the side of the road. When I was a little girl I use to take camping trips with my grandparents, and my Mamar aka grandma use to make my Grand stop on the road all the time for wildflowers. She loves to go hunt with me for weddings. It is one of my favorite memories.

^ Pokeberry to us locals. The proper name is Phytolacca I love the color of this! The deep pink stem, to the deep multi colored berries. The berries almost looked marbled. It has so many uses other than just being a beautiful addition in arrangements. You should check it out!

Wild. Pulling unexpected "wild" into arrangements for surprise elements is a Sweet Stems signature. Patience and I headed to our friend Shannon's farm to "ditch dig" for flowers and greenery. Family, friends and neighbors all know if you have something blooming in your yard it's fair game. My mother-in-law once caught me in her back yard with a flash light clipping "weeds" before the sun was up.

^ The grounds of Betty's Creek is absolutely breath-taking

Romantic. Angela was definitely a bride after my own heart. Her love for flowers and detail left me inspired after each meeting. Rich jewel tones and contrasting navy made the perfect romantic color palette. We hand dyed long silk ribbon to hang from her garden inspired bouquet, and it was the perfect final touch.

^ These grapes from the vineyard smelled so amazing that the bees noticed them also. I might have gotten stung, but only a few times. They didn't like me messing with their grapes

Forged. Angela + Cory got married at the most beautiful venue in Sylva, NC; The Vineyards at Betty's Creek. Getting married at a vineyard means grapes in your arrangements are a definite must. I'm pretty sure more grapes were eaten than actually used, so yummy.

Lush. Last but certainly not least, the tablescapes. Lush is the perfect word to describe the tablescapes that Angela requested. Two table runners, fresh eucalyptus garland, flowers, grapes, candles and delicious food. I'm not sure we could have squeezed any more onto them, but they were absolutely perfect.
